Medical Respite Hotel Program
The Medical Respite Hotel Program provides medically fragile people being released from a hospital stay, surgery or an emergency room incident with time to recover in a hotel room instead of being turned back to the street. During their hotel stay, guests are connected to supportive services through our Community Partners to ensure individual needs are assessed and addressed.
Imagine being a senior, diagnosed with cancer and going through treatment while living in your car. Gracie did just that. She’s tough and thought it would be ok. But there were complications and she ended up having an extended hospital stay. Through our Medical Respite Hotel Program, we were able to get a room for her so she could rest and recover in comfort and safety before returning back to living life in her car.
